The U.S. delegation was going to present at the conference “effective methods” of using coal, oil and gas

KATOWICE, POLAND —

Protesters had disrupted the event, which was hosted on 10 December by the U.S. delegation in the framework of the International UN conference on climate in Polish Katowice.

The sponsors of the event titled “Innovative technologies and stimulate U.S. economic momentum” was going to tell the conference participants about the benefits of “more efficient use of fossil fuels”.

Declared American theme caused a negative reaction from environmental activists and many government delegations that, on the contrary, wanted to achieve complete rejection of the use of coal, oil and gas.

Hundreds of protesters gathered in the hall, which was planned to conduct the event. Activists took the microphone from presenter, wells Griffith and disrupted his presentation. Donald trump has appointed Griffith as the Director of the national security Council on energy issues.

An international UN conference on climate change began in the Polish city of Katowice on Monday.
